Today In Black History: Feb. 11 – Nelson Mandela February 11, 2009

1990 – Nelson Mandela is released from prison after serving 27 years in Robin Island in South Africa.  Mandela, who was a leader of the African National Congress, was convicted of sabotage and other crimes while leading the charge against apartheid.
